Industrial Cooling Solutions and Tips

When you move your portable air conditioners from room to room, it is important to remove the dust in the area. The small particles from the dust stick to the motor, causing it to clog. The result, says MovinCool, is a recipe for mechanical and electrical issues. If you experience much humidity, install a drain tube to get rid of excess liquid. The unit will absorb more moisture because of the humidity.

The portable AC units need a power supply of 120vac. Using the unit without proper supply can lead to a fuse shortage. Plus, you will need a surge protector just in case you experience a power surge. The filters need cleaning on a regular basis. Please refer to the instructions for proper care. Your filters will last longer while cleaning the air. Also, clean the upper part of the AC to get rid of excess dust. If you do not clean the filter on a regular basis, the coil will collect dirt and the AC will push out warm air.

Before doing any maintenance work on industrial air conditioning, turn off the power. Turn it off from the outer shut-off box. Use a screwdriver or wrench to take the fasteners off the cage. You can use your hand or a wet/dry vacuum to remove the leaves and debris from inside the unit. A garden hose will do an excellent jot cleaning the fins. Straighten out the fins if you see any dents in them. Use a butter knife or a fin straightening tool to do the job. The unit will blow less air with dented fins. After cleaning the unit, replace the fan cage and rake any leaves outside the condenser. Plus, remove anything else near it, giving the unit at least 2 feet of space for proper air flow.
